These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Paperstick (“the Service”), operated by Paperstick Software FZE (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Paperstick lets you publish release notes and updates to public pages your customers can bookmark. Features, limits, and availability may change as we improve the product.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information when you register. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit (for example, changelog text, images, and embeds). You grant us a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate the Service—including showing it on your public changelog pages.
You are responsible for your content and for complying with applicable law. Do not use the Service to distribute malware, spam, unlawful material, or content that infringes others’ rights.
4. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the Service—for example, by probing or attacking our systems, scraping in a way that harms performance, or attempting to access data you are not authorized to see. We may suspend or terminate access for violations.
5. Fees and billing
Paid plans are billed according to the pricing and payment terms shown at checkout and in your account. Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval you select (for example, each billing period) until you cancel. You can turn off renewal through your account’s billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period and stops future charges; stopping renewal does not by itself refund fees already collected unless applicable law or the refund terms below apply.
Payment processor. We use Paddle as our payment service provider. Paddle processes payments, may issue receipts or invoices, and may handle tax and compliance steps for the transaction. Paddle may act as the merchant of record for your purchase, meaning Paddle is the seller of record for payment and tax purposes. Checkout shows the contractual counterparty for your payment. Any additional terms Paddle presents during checkout apply to the payment in addition to these Terms. Paddle’s buyer terms apply to payments processed by Paddle.
Refund policy. Paperstick Software FZE offers a refund window of 14 calendar days from the date Paddle charged your payment method for a subscription payment. Within that window, you may request a full refund of that subscription fee by emailing [email protected]. Refunds are processed through Paddle as merchant of record. After the 14-day window, subscription fees are not refunded except where required by applicable consumer law. How Paddle applies refunds and any rights you have as a buyer are also described in Paddle’s buyer terms (including the refund rules there). If you think a charge is wrong or you have a statutory right to cancel or refund, contact us at [email protected] and we will address it consistent with these Terms, Paddle’s applicable policies, and the law.
Taxes may apply where required and may be collected and remitted as shown at checkout.
6. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the Service (where we will aim to give reasonable notice when practicable).
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim (or, if none, fifty dollars). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and refresh the date in the highlighted “Last updated” box above when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
